Our website features lamb, produce, and wool products from Becca & Chris at Lostview. It's a new format, with a blog, and we hope you'll like it.
Cheers!Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01243484690153403536noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7862484.post-15908340050555051772012-07-27T14:27:00.002-05:002012-07-27T14:27:45.199-05:00We are on the opposite end of the season spectrum since my last post. I wanted to capture what the farm is like in July after an early, hot summer. Our camera is broken, so this shaky iPod video will have to suffice! Click this link for the tour.
Does this mean the blog is up and running again? Well, for today it is. I used one of these beauties this year and Amy shared my love of their delicate crystal loveliness. A set of 8 were given to us by the Roths as a wedding gift and I've always loved them. We've had some snow this year, which always makes the experience more scenic, though the single digits on Saturday morning made for a great motivator charissimohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06796741758990541598noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7862484.post-11912221782127689102011-11-11T15:45:00.003-06:002011-11-11T15:49:28.947-06:00Video Complete! Finally, a short video tour of the basement renovation at about 90% finished.

It doesn't matter from what angle or what time of day I take photos, they just don't capture the details of change at E7982 Lostview Lane. That said, for all you waiting on photos, I have not forgotten you! I just might have to work on another video tour instead. That's fun, right?! We play in the Chippewa Valley Jazz Orchestra together and want to start a composer's collective. She has a great blues band and hired my horn section to play with her. Charis and I are chilling in the middle room - like the old days with the mattress on the ground. I tried to get her to share the same tooth brush again, but she would not go for that. Plus we enjoyed a nice visit from our good friend Charles: revs the creativity and helps us to enjoy the farm.

Regardless, it's moving day for the Newhouses. Down to our "mezzanine" apartment we go! Lostview Farm was graced with a visit from our brother's family - Nathan, Barbara, Sanne & Ivy - over the 4th of July weekend. It was sunny and hot and full of lazing around, catching up, eating, and cooling off with tasty libations and trips to the river.

Dusk in summertime. Quiet but for the birds and bugs (and intermittent tractor), hazy sunshine, cool & breezy, green and alive. Does this sound familiar? Probably because I write something to the same effect every early summer.
We're long past due for an update on farm and building projects. Photos below express the progress.
