He is so beautiful! Love your descriptions of him too! With Ellis, Chris and Becca here, we are thinking of you and missing you!

Isabel Aven,

Hola! Como estas? Soy una falsificación. I have always wanted to know spanish. I have studied in high school, college and did tudoring after college, but I stink. Here in white Dunn County Wisconsin there is not a need for it so I slip from truly learning. I could learn Hmong though.
Therefore, I thought I could help teach myself by reading to Owain. I know people learn second languages much easier at an earlier age. I hope Owain hearing it often will help him be a much quicker and steadfast learner than his father. The great thing is I am learning a lot. Right now I know all the colors, sea animals and lots about the seasons and weather: las tormentas se ponen bravas. Do not worry I have lots of friends who are bi-lingual who will help me on the way. My secret hope is Owain will learn, I will learn with him and he will continue to teach me.
Right now our evening reading tradition is El Pez Arco Iris Colores, I am a Bunny, Llego la Primavera and Charlie Parker Played Be-Bop.

Bravisimo for sticking with it! Owain will thank you! By the way, childen's books in Spanish can be tough... I've had to look up more than one word in some of them! You'd think they'd be simple eh? But apparently not! La Oruga muy Hambrienta (very hungry caterpillar) is all the rage in our house these days!

Hmong... now there is one I am fascinated by. I lived near a large Hmong community in MT but never motivated to try to learn it. Maybe in the next life? Or maybe Isa will learn it and teach me! There, that sounds good.

So fun watching Owain turn those pages! We have similar fun each night at our house, though in English. :)
