Beautiful, healthy, alert, sweet, perfect, miracle of a baby boy. He arrived at 11:16 p.m. today, August 14.
The second:
My sister, Charis. Her heroism leaves me speechless, as I cannot imagine I will ever find the words to describe the enormous strength and determination she showed during 10 hours of hard, intense, seemingly constant contractions and labor. She was a rock. She was beautiful. She was who she always has been, but magnified exponentially. It was heroic what she accomplished today. And what a gift to receive in return for her labor - Owain is a perfect blessing for two incredible parents.
We are smitten. And exhausted! Good night - and I promise, more tomorrow!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!!! We are so proud and happy for this little one to have finally arrived. Hooray to the parents and aunts and uncles and grandparents who have helped grow this baby and now can finally hold it's big-little body in their arms. Can't wait to meet the little bugger.

We love you guys and we can not I mean CAN NOT wait to meet our nephew Owain! We had no doubt, Charis and Jay, that you would be total rock stars. While you were in labor we were constantly thinking about the three of you and are so thankful that everyone is healthy (and I imagine exhausted). See you in a couple of weeks.

Dear Charis and Jay,
We just got the news of your jouyus event. As for our own experience we can only say it gets better each day as you will soon find out...A smile, a warm hug as your child runs to greet you at the door. However my favorite is when my son Grayson says goodbye to me followed by " you're my best friend". All of these and more you will soon discover and then some! May God continue to bless and keep watch over as you grow into the blessing of family.
